Chemistry Lab Report
Use the "Lab Report Format" to create your lab report. Each of the nine sections in the checklist will be evaluated to compile an overall 100% classwork/project grade for each lab report. Use this rubric to help you critique your lab report so that you may get the highest score possible.

Qualitative sentences contain inferences. Qualitative data chart, graph or picture is incomplete or indiscernible.

Data section is absent, qualitative sentences missing, or quantitative data is missing from a data chart, graph or picture.
Discussion
Great
Sentences provide clear explanation for the meaning of your data, if applicable. Specific references are made to the data.
Good
Sentences provide an explanation for the meaning of your data, if applicable. References are made to the data.
Satisfactory
Sentences are present but provide no clear explanation of data or do not make specific references to the data.
Not Acceptable
Absent.
Conclusion
Great
Conclusion is well written and focused. It shows critical thinking, and no errors are present.
Good
Conclusion is written to an acceptable level. It shows some critical thinking and some errors may be present.
Satisfactory
Conclusion is written to a level that is passable. It shows very little critical thinking and is many of errors.
Not Acceptable
Conclusion is missing or poorly written. It shows almost no critical thinking and is full of errors.
Writing Guidelines

Well written, neatly organized & clearly formatted (or written).
Scientific vocabulary present & used correctly. No spelling or grammatical errors. Scientific writing style is evident.
Good
Minor problems exist with writing style, organization, formatting, scientific vocabulary or spelling/grammar.
