	Unsatisfactory 2 pts	Developing 3 pts	Satisfactory 4 pts	Proficient 5 pts
Length 5 pts The duration of the audio clip.	Unsatisfactory Beat is less than 1 minute.	Developing Beat is between 1 and 1 1/2 minutes.	Satisfactory Beat is 2-2 1/2 minutes long.	Proficient Beat is at least 3 minutes long.
Number of Tracks 5 pts	Unsatisfactory Student uses 1 tracks.	Developing Student uses 1 track and one additional sound.	Satisfactory Student uses 2 tracks.	Proficient Student uses at least 2 tracks and 1 additional sound.
Beat 5 pts	Unsatisfactory Beat has no variety and transitions are non-existent.	Developing Beat has very little variety and no transitions.	Satisfactory The beats and transitions are interesting and sound well together.	Proficient Beat is rhythmic with lots of variety and transitions.
Vocals 5 pts	Unsatisfactory Vocals not included or are not synced with the beat. Vocals are difficult to hear.	Developing Vocals are difficult to hear OR are not synced with the beat.	Satisfactory Vocals are audible and synced with the beat.	Proficient Vocals are clearly audible and synced well with the beat. The vocals add to the overall melody of the song.
Mood 5 pts	Unsatisfactory The vocals and beat do not match. The beat and/or lyrics contradict each other.	Developing N/A	Satisfactory N/A	Proficient The vocals and beat compliment each other well to convey the intended mood.
