Planet Poster Planet Poster Students made a poster of a chosen planet that includes: basic description, symbol, how the planet got it's name, who discovered the planet, distance from the sun, how much a 100 lb. person would weigh on the planet, length of a year and day, moons or rings, weather, what it's made of, and a 3 fun facts. Pictures	Excellent My graphics are all related to the planet and make my poster easy to understand.	Good My graphics are related to the topic and most of them make it easier to understand.	Fair Most graphics relate to the topic.	Not Much Effort Graphics do not really relate to my planet	Poor I did not include any additional graphics to the outline of planet.
Content basic description, symbol, how the planet got it's name, who discovered the planet, distance from the sun, how much a 100 lb. person would weigh on the planet, length of a year and day, moons and rings, weather, what it's made of, and 3 fun facts.	Excellent My Poster has all of the required facts. (10 or more pieces of information)	Good My poster has at least 8-9 of the required facts.	Fair My poster has at least 6-7 of the required facts.	Not Much Effort My poster has 4-5 of the required facts.	Poor My poster does not contain at least 3 facts about my planet.
Grammar/Capitalization/Neatness	Excellent My poster is designed and written VERY neatly with 100% correct capitalization and punctuation.	Good My poster is attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness with 90% correct capitalization and punctuation.	Fair My poster is attractive but may be a little messy with 80% correct capitalization and punctuation.	Not Much Effort My poster is colored but is messy and not attractive with 70% correct capitalization and punctuation.	Poor My poster is not colored, and there are too many capitalization and punctuation errors.
Use of Class Time	Excellent I used time well. I focused on getting my project done without distracting other students.	Good I used most time well. I usually focused on getting the project done and rarely distracted others. (reminded 1 time to get back on task).	Fair I used some of the class time I was given. I occasionally distracted others during that time (reminded 2-3 times)	Not Much Effort I did not use class time well to work on my poster OR I often distracted others.
