Capital Letters and Punctuation	Poor Does not use capital letters at beginning of sentences or doe not use capital letters with proper nouns, and does not use end point at end of sentence. 2 errors	Fair Uses capital letters most of the time at beginning of sentences and/or generally correctly uses capital letters in other places in sentences. Uses correct end points most of the time. 1 error	Good Begins all sentences with capital letters , uses capital letters correctly with proper nouns elsewhere, and uses end points correctly. 0 errors
Word Count, Word Order and Spacing	Poor Attempts to write the dictated sentence with correct number of words in correct order with spacing between each word. 3 or more errors	Fair Sentence is somewhat easy to read, with 1-2 words missing or out of order, or some spacing issues between words.	Good Correct one-to-one correspondence, spacing, and word order. No errors.
Spelling and Legibility	Poor Very hard to read, identify, decode, hardly any words legibly spelled correctly. 4 or more spelling errrors	Fair 2-3 spelling errors per sentence	Good 0-1 spelling errors per sentence
