	Solid 3 pts	Decent 2 pts	Need Improvement 1 pts
Organization	Solid The main idea (poetry) is defined clearly; the sub-categories make sense, and the reader is able to follow and understand what is presented.	Decent The main idea is partially defined; some categories do not make sense, and at times the reader is not able to follow what is presented.	Need Improvement There is no definition or recognizable pattern to the ideas. They seem to be a list of thoughts and random words that confuse the reader.
Depth	Solid The map has at least 4 subtopics (i.e. devices, themes, etc.) and a comprehensive list of ideas under each subtopic. Terms have exceptional definitions and examples.	Decent The map has 3 subtopics and/or is lacking in the amount of ideas under each subtopic. Terms lack clear definitions and/or examples.	Need Improvement The map has only two subtopics and/or is missing many ideas under each subtopic. Terms lack definitions and/or examples.
Design	Solid The map is well organized; the font is a good size, and it easy to read. May include images that compliment many of the ideas.	Decent Some ideas are difficult to read, but the overall layout is good.May include images that compliment some of the ideas.	Need Improvement The layout is poor and difficult to read.
