Students will present a PowerPoint project about a Spanish-speaking country that was assigned to them. Students are encouraged to use images, videos, music, etc. to engage their peers. Entire presentation MUST BE IN THE SPANISH LANGUAGE. Total: 120 points

Does not give complete or true information. Leaves out vital information. Contains less that 5 items mentioned.
The PowerPoint contains less than 10 slides.
Satisfactory

Gives some information, may include generalities instead of details, may/may not cover enough areas. Contains less that 8 items mentioned. The PowerPoint contains between 10 and 14 slides.
Excellent

Gives good, detailed, well-documented information one would need. Contains more than 8 items mentioned. The PowerPoint contains 15 or more slides.

PowerPoint is easy to follow. Presented in "points," not long essay-type sentences. Has graphics which support the student's presentation and are not a distraction.

Unsatisfactory

Has misspelled words, has too many words, or a font that is hard to read.
Lacks pictures or animation for slides.
Satisfactory

Misses accents or punctuation, but it spelled correctly. Is generally legible and well layed out. Has some pictures on slides. May have some effects or animation, but it may/may not add to the quality of the presentation.
Excellent

All words spelled correctly, on a slide with an appropriate number of words, and an easy-to-read font. Is very legible. Pictures and animation add to the quality of the presentation.
Punctuality

Is presented on time, and shows adequate preparation.

Unsatisfactory

Does not present on the day assigned. Minus 10 pts. for each class day late.
Satisfactory

Presents on the day assigned, but not well prepared.
Excellent

Presents on time as scheduled with all information.

Students explain and provide insight on the significance of the various factors that play a role in shaping the culture of the country assigned.
Excellent

Students analyze and provide insight on the significance of the various factors that play a role in shaping the culture of the country assigned. Students not only provide insight, but compare their own culture to that of the country assigned and identify differences and similarities.
