RSkills - W6 - Constructed Response Short Answer Exam Writing Grading Rubric When writing your Constructed Response for the RSkills assessment, this is what your answer will be graded on. Intro and claim 4 pts A clear introduction that identifies the claim must be provided.	Poor (D/F) 1 - Needs a claim.	Fair (C) 2 - Author's claim is unclear or irrelevant.	Above Average (B) 3 - Introduction states a claim.	Excellent (A) 4 - Introduction clearly states a relevant claim.
Reasons and Details 12 pts Reasons are provided that support the argument and are fully supported with details.	Poor (D/F) 1 - Needs supporting evidence. Number of reasons do not meet minimum requirement of the writing prompt.	Fair (C) 5 - A few details support the argument, but some are not convincing and relevant. Number of reasons do not meet minimum requirement of the writing prompt.	Above Average (B) 9 - Convincing, relevant evidence supports the argument. Number of reasons meet minimum requirement of the writing prompt.	Excellent (A) 12 - Convincing, relevant evidence strongly supports the argument. Number of reasons meet minimum requirement of the writing prompt.
Conventions

Mechanics 4 pts Follows the conventions of proper mechanics, grammar and spelling.	Poor (D/F) 1 - Many errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and spelling.	Fair (C) 2 - Some errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and spelling.	Above Average (B) 3 - Few errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
