Construction Technology
	Fair 7 pts	Good 10 pts	Very Good 12.5 pts
Project Planning	Fair Little to no planning was involved in students project. Needs to be pointed to a suitable project and assisted with writing bill of material and needs help gathering materials.	Good in the creation of the project Student has idea, but no plans. Needs help with Bill of materials and locating supplies.	Very Good Student had adequate amount of planning with multiple revisions. Student finds own project suitable for skill level. Makes Bill of materials. Gathers supplies.
Cutting, Shaping, Sanding	Fair Unequal sides,improper use of rasp or file. Rasp and File marks. Sanding marks and or not sanded smoothly.	Good Project could have been sanded smoother or improper grit pattern followed.	Very Good All sides cut to equal lengths, proper use of rasp and file, no rasp or file marks. Sanded smooth with no cross Grain Sanding Marks.
Joinery	Fair Total lack of care for joinery. Large gaps, Uneven pieces.	Good Gaps in joints, in-appropriate joinery method.	Very Good Joinery method is appropriate and joint is tight with no gaps or uneven.
Fastening/Finishing	Fair Glue only. Or Fasteners only. No finish work or lack of detail during finishing stages.	Good Over Abundance of fasteners or to few fasteners were used. One or two fasteners placed in the incorrect location. Uneven stain or finish. 20% runs or drips. The finishing surface not smooth when touched.	Very Good Proper amount of fasteners were used. Fasteners located in proper locations Consistent Stain, even finish with no runs or drips. Smooth to the touch and multiple coats applied.
Tool Usage	Fair Does not identify or use tools and equipment effectively.	Good Is able to find the tools they will be using.	Very Good Is able to find and use all the tools they will need for their project.
Safety	Fair Student neglects to use proper safety equipment and is careless in their work 4 or more times in a week. Does not keep area neat and organized.	Good With prompting, student uses safety glasses. Student is careless 2 to 3 times in a week about his work and does not keep area neat.	Very Good Student uses safety glasses, works carefully and keeps work area neat and clutter free all time.
