Reading Response Rubric 
Students Respond based on texts and/or multi-media presentations presented in class. These responses will include but are not limited to exemplars related to the texts that support the reading/writing connection. Context is relevant.

Some critical thinking about the text is shown
AND
Response includes connections between the text and self, or the text to the world.

Little critical thinking is exhibited.
OR
Response includes only one connection: between the text and self, or text to the world.
Level 1

There is no critical thinking within the response.
OR
Response does not include connections.
