Student's work is an appropriate length for the given assignment: two character/20 lines for each character.

Required length is not met.

Required length is barely met and is lacking substance.
Average

Required length is met but needs to be edited.

Required length is met or exceeded.

Required length is met or exceeded efficiently and concisely.

Student's work is formatted according to the industry standard, and is edited of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.

Characters have clear objectives, character voices, and relationships.
Stage Direction

Student's work is properly formatted, provides the platform for the scene and is efficient as possible.

Poor Effort

There are no stage directions.
Below Average

Stage directions are either too short or too long.
Average

Stage direction is used somewhat effectively, lacks formatting and efficiency.
Above Average

Stage direction is used effectively with minimal formatting or efficiency errors.
Excellent Effort

Stage direction is used effectively and is properly formatted throughout.
