Introduction Speech- Past. Present. Future. Introduction Speech- Past. Present. Future. The student will present an effective speech which follows the outline that they have presented to the instructor. They will use visual aids, proper vocalics, and no fillers. Past/Present/Future Speech
	Rockin' it! 10 pts	Alright, Alright! 6 pts	Oopsie! 2 pts
Following the Outline	Rockin' it! The student followed the outline, including the introduction, body, and conclusion	Alright, Alright! The student did not include some areas of the body, but had an introduction and a conclusion	Oopsie! The student did not include an introduction or a conclusion, and left important parts of the outline out of the speech.
Vocalics/Effect	Rockin' it! The student projected well so that all members of the class could hear. He/she appeared relaxed, and used humor when appropriate.	Alright, Alright! The student, for the most part, projected well enough for most of the audience to hear. He/she appeared nervous, but completed the speech.	Oopsie! The student spoke too quietly for the audience to understand, appeared nervous, and did not finish the speech.
Use of visual aids	Rockin' it! The student provided a "road map" of their lives. The visual aid helped the audience understand the speech.	Alright, Alright! The student did not appropriately connect the visual aid to the speech, but did attempt to use visual aid.	Oopsie! The student did not have a a visual aid.
Fillers	Rockin' it! The student used 0-3 fillers.	Alright, Alright! The student used 6-10 fillers.	Oopsie! The student used 11 or more fillers.
Time	Rockin' it! The student spoke for 2 minutes (+/- 10 seconds). 5 points	Alright, Alright! The student spoke for 2 minutes (+/- 30 seconds). 3 points	Oopsie! The student spoke for 2 minutes (+/- 50 seconds). 1 point
Notecards	Rockin' it! The student had at least 5 notecards with 10 or less words on it. 5 points	Alright, Alright! The students had did not have the 5 notecards, OR they did not not keep it to 10 words per card. 3 points	Oopsie! The student did not have 5 notecards, nor did they keep it to 10 words per card. 1 point
