General Music Class

Making use of time	Unsatisfactory Student never enters classroom in an orderly manner, walks around room visiting with other students, and almost never is quiet, ready for class to begin.	Needs Improvement Student rarely enters classroom in an orderly manner and gets to his/her seat on time.	Good Student usually enters the classroom in an orderly manner and quickly gets to his/her seat. Student is sometimes talking to fellow students and not always ready to begin on time.	Excellent Student always enters the classroom in an orderly manner, quickly gets to seat and is ready to begin class.
MUSIC Participation/involvement	Unsatisfactory Student never sings, answers questions, listens to instructor, and participates on the instruments during the period of instruction. Students expresses a poor attitude towards the activity and/or instructor.	Needs Improvement Student frequently does NOT sing, answers questions,listens to instructor, and participates on the instruments during the period of instruction. Student sometimes expresses a poor attitude towards the activity and/or instructor.	Good Student sings, answers questions, listens to the instructor, and participates on the instruments almost the entire period of instruction. Student is usually repsectuful towards the activity and/or instructor.	Excellent Student sings, answers questions,listens to the instructor, and participates on the instruments during the entire period of instruction. Student is respectful and always tries his/her best during the activity and is repectful toward the instructor.
Facilitating learning	Unsatisfactory Student makes no effort to keep focused on the lesson and current topics. Student frequently is out of seat without permission or is not sitting appropriately on the floor. Student is disrespectful of other student trying to ask questions.	Needs Improvement Student frequently asks questions or makes statements not relevant to lesson. Student frequently is out of seat without permission or is not sitting appropriately on the floor. Student is frequently not respectful of other students.	Good Student occasionally askes questions or makes statements not relevant to current topic. Student sometimes leaves seat without permission or is not always sitting appropriately on the floor. Student is usually respectful of other students.	Excellent Students only asks questions relevant to the topic being discussed. Student remains seated until dismissed by teacher and is seated appropriately on the floor. Student is respectful of other students.
Concert/program attendance	Unsatisfactory Student makes no effort to attend or participate in scheduled programs and does not notify the instructor of their absence before the program date.	Needs Improvement Student notifies instructor of concert absence before program date, and is not in attendance.	Good Student attends concerts and programs, but does not report at the assigned time.	Excellent Student regularly attends scheduled programs and concerts. Student reports at the assigned time.
