Fair The student chose less than the required number of characters.	Poor The student chose less than or none of the required number of characters
Written or Typed Description	Excellent The student shows knowledge of the characters by accurately depicting them and their traits. They write traits that can be verified by looking at their actions in the book.	Good The student shows some knowledge of the characters however they name traits that aren't accurate. or things that aren't what the characters would say/do.	Fair The student shows little knowledge of the characters, name traits that aren't accurate. or things that aren't what the characters would say/do.	Poor The student's shows no knowledge of the characters.
Symbols of the Characters	Excellent Student has accurately selected symbols to describe all of the characters.	Good Student has accurately selected some symbols to describe all of the characters.	Fair Student has accurately selected few symbols to describe all of the characters.	Poor Student has accurately selected no symbols to describe all of the characters.
Presentation/ Appearance	Excellent The project clearly shows effort: it is clean, decorated, and neat. The student presented it in a clear manner.
