Excellent

Constantly engaged in the class activity and has fantastic ideas to contribute. Does not need reminders to stay on task and is helpful in reminding others to also participate.
Above Average

Often engaged in the activities. Could participate more in class activity, but is never causing a distraction.
Average

Engaged in the activity but needs a reminder to get back on task at times. Sometimes forgets to remind others to be involved.
Below Average

Rarely engaged in the activity. Needs a reminder to get back on task, can be distracting to teacher/classmates and is in others physical space.
Poor

Chooses actions that cause them to miss being involved in the class activity (possibly resulting in a refocus). Distracting to the class as a whole and constantly in others physical space.
Accountability

Excellent

Completed activity and/or is ready with required materials for the class. Made huge contributions to the overall activity.

Has all required materials and uniform displayed correctly.
Above Average

Usually completes activity and/or is ready with required materials for the class. Required classwork done with above average effort.

Has both complete but one is 100% correct and one is partially correct.
Average

Sometimes completes activity and/or is ready with required materials for the class. Shows average effort. Has one or both uniform and materials but not 100% complete.
Below Average

Rarely completes activity or holds herself/himself accountable for missing work or not following directions. Has only material or uniform correct.
Poor

Did not complete required classwork. Contributed little or nothing at all to the overall activity and takes no accountability for their actions. Has no materials and uniform is incorrect.
Listening Skills

Excellent

Always carefully listening to others when they speak. Helps others when they need a friendly reminder to listen.
Above Average

Almost always listens to others when they are speaking. Respectful when helping others to remember their listening skills.
Average

Tries to listen to others when they are speaking but needs to be reminded to do so at times. Helps others to listen for most of the class time.
Below Average

Has a hard time listening to others and therefore the student needs to constantly be reminded to listen to others.
Poor

Does not listen to others and consistently interrupts others when they are talking.
Attitude

Excellent

Positive about the activities being learned in class and sets an excellent example for students around him/her.
Above Average

Positive about the activities being done in class and has an above average attitude towards helping other classmates.
Average

Neutral about the activities. Student spreads mixed feelings around the class, both positive and negative.
Below Average

Rarely engaged in the activity. Can be fairly negative and needs a reminder to get back on task, can be distracting to teacher/classmates and is in others physical space.
Poor

Negative attitude. Student makes the experience bad for others around him/her. Blames others rather than taking responsibility for his/her attitude.
Social Interaction

Excellent

Respects and encourages the views of others. Politely asks questions or clarification and raises their hand when appropriate. Builds on others comments.
Above Average

Body and/or verbal responses indicate active listening. Asks questions and builds on others comments.
Average

Sometimes pays attention to the group discussion. Sometimes ask questions and build on others comments.
Below Average

Rarely engaged in the activity. Needs a reminder to get back on task, can be distracting to teacher/classmates and is in others physical space.
Poor

Frequently interrupts and/or puts down the views of others. Does not politely ask questions or for further clarification when they do not understand something.
