Native American Project Native American Project This rubric will be used to score your project. You are to choose one project idea to complete. If you would like to make a suggestion as to what you would like to do, please let me know! This should be worked on at home by YOU...please be creative! Find materials at your home to use instead of buying them. Directions: We have been learning about the cultures of Native Americans and the regions of North American that they lived. Choose ONE region, and create some type of project to show your understanding about the culture. You will need to choose AT LEAST TWO elements of the culture to showcase in your project. Here are possible ideas for your project: song story poem diary letters create word problems powerpoint compile statistics create a graph comic art using various media dance build a model create a skit Be ready to share your project in class. Content	Poor Project does not show correct elements of culture from the region chosen. An understanding for the content is not present. Little or no information is included in the written assignment	Fair Project correctly shows at least 1 element of culture from the region chosen. A clear understanding of the content is not present. Some information is included. One or more mistakes may be present.	Good Project correctly shows at least 2 elements of culture from the region chosen, although the project should have shown more understanding by providing more of what you learned in the project.	Excellent Project correctly shows at least 2 elements of culture from the region chosen. An in-depth understanding is present. The project shows a deeper understanding of what you learned and why this is an important part of the culture.
Effort	Poor No time was spent on this project. There are missing/incomplete/ sloppy parts. Lots more effort is needed.	Fair Little time was spent developing the project. There may be incomplete/ sloppy parts, and much more effort could have been shown.	Good Some time was spent developing the project. There is some attention to details, but more effort could have been shown.	Excellent It is obvious that much time was spent developing the project. There is careful attention to detail, and 100% effort was given by the student.
