Graphing Linear Equations: Stained Glass
In this project, students must graph 12 linear equations on a coordinate plane in order to create a "stained glass" pattern. Students will choose 12 of 24 linear equations, create t-tables to find at least 3 points for each equation, and graph the corresponding line for that equation. All lines must be clearly labeled with the appropriate equation.

Completeness

Poor

The student completed 8 or fewer t-tables/graphs OR completed one portion (graphs or t-tables) and missed 50% or more of the other portion.
Fair

The student completed 9 - 10 t-tables/graphs OR completed one portion (graphs or tables) and missed no more than 25% of the other portion.
Good

The student completed 11 t-tables/graphs, OR completed one portion (graphs or tables) and missed 2 of the other portion.
Excellent

The student completed all t-tables and all graphs.
Accuracy

Poor

Fewer than 65% of t-tables and graphs are accurate.
Fair

65% - 75% of t-tables and graphs are accurate.
Good

80% - 90% of t-tables and graphs are accurate.
Excellent

95% - 100% of t-tables are accurate, and all lines are graphed correctly.
Final Presentation

Poor

Final product is overall messy, and it is clear the student did not take care to turn in quality work. Student did not edit for errors.
Fair

Final product is messy in places, and the student took little care to turn in quality work. Student did not edit for errors.
Good

Final product is neat, and the student took care to turn in quality work. However, the student did not carefully edit for errors.
Excellent

Final product is neat, and it is clear that the student took great care to turn in quality work. Student edited carefully for errors.
Working Efficiently

Poor

Student did not use time efficiently, was distracting to others, and did not complete much of the project OR turned in the project more than 6 days late.
Fair

Student needed considerable help to stay on task, was unfocused much of the time, and completed only some of the project OR turned in the project 1 - 5 days late.
Good

Student needed some help staying on task, was focused most of the time, and finished most of the project. The project was not turned in late.
Excellent

Student worked independently, diligently, and needed few to no prompts to stay on task. The student finished the project on time.
