Biography of an American 1870-1910 Biography of an American 1870-1910 Subjects must be approved in advance with your teacher. Biographies should include important details of the figure's life and the contributions he/she made to America from 1870-1910. Subjects studied should not be persons that have been covered in class. Papers will be graded on the criteria listed below. Citations to sources will be required. Information on proper citation of sources and MLA format will be provided separately from this rubric. Biography of Historical Figure

Bio may include 4 to 6 sections (Date of birth, Date of Death, Place of birth, Place of death, spouse and children, interests, occupation, other)	Excellent All important biographical information is presented. Accomplishments	Good The content of the biography is sufficient. It includes some details of the contributions that the historical figure made during the 1870s to 1910. Belief/Motivation	Good There is some mention of what were the beliefs or motivation for the historical figure's actions.	Excellent The student explains their understanding of what motivated the historical figure to accomplish what he/she did. The student explains whether or not the historical figure was motivated by their religious beliefs.
