Football Throwing Motion

Proper Grip	4 The student has air showing through his palm. The student has a nice firm grip. The ring finger is on the 3rd lace.	3 The student has little air showing through his palm. The students grip is a little to firm. The ring finger is off the third lace.	2 The student has no air showing through palm. All fingers are off the laces.	1 The student has no air showing and the student is gripping ball too hard. No fingers on laces
Stance/Ready Position	4 The student has the ball 6 inches from right pectoral muscle. The player has relaxed shoulders. The feet are shoulder width apart.	3 The student has ball by right pectoral muscle. The players shoulders are relaxed. Feet are underneath his body.	2 The student drops ball from right peck. Feet are outside framework of body.	1 The student drops ball below waist. feet are too narrow or wide.
Throwing Motion	4 The student brings ball back to 90 degree angle. Elbow is above shoulder. Student releases ball off pointer finger.	3 The student brings ball back to 90 degree angle. Elbow is same level as shoulder. Student releases ball off middle finger.	2 The student doesnt bring ball back to 90 degree angle. Elbow is below shoulder.	1 The student doesnt bring ball back at all. Elbow drops below shoulder
Follow Through	4 The student follows through out and up to target. Throwing shoulder pointed at target.	3 The student follows through. Throwing Shoulder pointed at target.	2 The Student doesnt follow through up and out but down.	1 Student doesnt follow through. Student doesn't point throwing shoulder towards target.
