Clear purpose	Needs Improvement Does not focus on one specific skill to teach.	Good Focuses on one particular skill, but does not know how to clearly help the child with that skill.	Great Tutor understands how to identify a need a student has and create a lesson based off of that need.
Phonemic Awareness/ Phonics	Needs Improvement Chooses one phonemic awareness skill, but does not teach it properly based on the information learned in the Reading Interventionist Program.	Good Chooses one phonemic awareness or phonics skill and teaches the skill properly through information learned in the Reading Interventionist Program.	Great Chooses two or three phonemic awareness skills or phonics skills. Creates a lesson based off of information learned in the Reading Interventionist Program and teaches the skill properly.
Non-fiction Comprehension	Needs Improvement Does not use the workbook or resources learned from the Reading Interventionist Program.	Good Uses the Non-fiction comprehension workbook, but does not understand how to utilize it fully to help a child close the gap.	Great Uses the Non-fiction workbook and information learned from the Reading Interventionist Program to close the gap for a child with non-fiction comprehension.
