Egg Drop Engineering Egg Drop Invention Students will design and build a capsule to drop an egg in. The goal is for the egg to be dropped and not break. Rubric Code: JX32A59 By jmutch Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Engineering Type: Project Grade Levels: K-5

Egg Drop Test 0 % Invent something to save an egg in so it won't break in a fall from larger than a 20 foot drop.
	Ok The work was completed, but done with minimal effort and/or the written portion was not completed/submitted and/or student did not follow classroom rules. 5 pts	Good The work was completed satisfactorily and/or the written portion was not completed as instructed and/or the student did not follow all the project rules. 7 pts	Egg-cellent Everything was done as expected and beyond, and the written portion was completed as instructed and/or the student followed the project rules. 10 pts
Participation/Effort 40 % Student brought in appropriate items, made an egg carrier, tested the design and submitted the written portion of the assignment as instructed.	Ok Student does not bring in all the required material or has not tested the design with written details about the tests.	Good Student brings in the required materials, but is missing one component of the three expectations is missing.	Egg-cellent Student brings in all the required materials for the egg drop, completed the written portion describing the test drops, and followed all the project guidelines.
Behavior 30 % All directions were followed correctly. Student followed the classroom rules and policy during the activity.	Ok Student does not follow the directions or follow all the classroom rules during the activity.	Good Student follows some of the directions and/or some of the classroom rules during the activity.
