Workmanship/Overall Appearance	Poor 0-----1-----2-----3-----4 Project has obvious matching and size problems due to inexact measuring, cutting, and/or sewing. Many unclipped threads and/or wrinkles.	Fair 5-----6-----7 Project exhibits moderately good workmanship. Some mistakes are evident in seams and/or matching. Seams are not all consistent, stitching may be loose in spots. A few unclipped threads and/or wrinkles. Missing some finishing lines.	Good 8-----9-----10 Excellent workmanship throughout. Project has consistent seams (seam allowances), few mistakes, tight stitches, and seams are well-matched. Size and shape is exact. All threads are clipped and it is neatly pressed. Finishing lines are sewn.
Straight Stitching/Backstitching	Poor 0-----1-----2-----3-----4 Stitching is very curvy and/or puckering a lot. Forgot to backstitch	Fair 5-----6-----7 Stitching is not straight (may be curvy or puckering in some spots). Some backstitiching.	Good 8-----9-----10 Stitching is straight and smooth, not curvy or puckering. Backstitched every time.
Knowledge of sewing machine	Poor 0-----1-----2-----3-----4 The student needed help with sewing machine on daily basis. Did not know how to thread machine and forgot to put presser foot down most of the time.	Fair 5-----6-----7 Student needed help with the sewing machine most of the time.	Good 8-----9-----10 Student knew how to thread sewing machine and put presser foot down all the time. Student was a help to others.
Casing (For tie)	Poor 0-----1-----2-----3-----4 Not all the lines are sewn, the lines are not straight, there are several puckers.	Fair 5-----6-----7 Both lines are present on each curve. The lines are not straight and stitching is not even.	Good 8-----9-----10 Both lines are sewn on each curve. There are no puckers, and stitching is even.
Tie	Poor 0-----1-----2-----3-----4 The tie is misshapen, is too short, or not sewn together with accuracy.	Fair 5-----6-----7 The tie is uneven, not all edges are sewn.	Good 8-----9-----10 The tie is long enough to use, neatly sewn, sewn in the correct spot, and there are no cut edges shown. Both ends are finished.
Pocket	Poor 0-----1-----2-----3-----4 Pocket is not usable, or not sewn onto the apron.	Fair 5-----6-----7 Pocket is not sewn on neatly, may not be centered on apron. Did not pivot on bottom corners.	Good 8-----9-----10 Pocket is sewn on correctly with no mistakes. Opening is on the top. It is placed properly on the apron. Pivots were done properly.
