Poor

Expresses and organizes ideas and information with limited effectiveness. Students read information and make no eye contact.
Audience cannot understand presentation because there is no sequence of information and or students mumble.
Fair

Expresses and organizes ideas and information with some effectiveness. Students reads information and occasionally uses eye contact. Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around and or voices are low.
Good

Expresses and organizes ideas with considerable effectiveness. Students maintains eye contact with the audience most of the time but frequently looks at notes. Information is presented in a logical sequence which audience can follow. In addition student's voices are clear.
Excellent

Expresses and organizes ideas with a high degree of effectiveness. Students maintain eye contact with audience hardly returning to notes. Information is presented in a logical, interesting sequence which audience can follow. In addition student's voices are very clear and expressive.
Subject Knowledge

Poor

Student does not have grasp of information; student cannot answer questions about subject.
Fair

Student is uncomfortable with information and is able to answer only some questions.
Good

Student is at ease with expected answers to all questions, but fails to give details.
Excellent

Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by answering all class questions with explanations and details.
Graphics

Poor

Student uses graphics that has nothing to do with topic or no graphics
Fair

Student occasionally uses graphics that rarely support text and presentation.
Good

Student's graphics relate to text and presentation.
Excellent

Student's graphics explain and reinforce the information and presentation.
Application

Poor

Makes no or limited meaningful connections between where you live and the country studied.
Fair

Makes some meaningful connections between where you live and the country studied.
Good

Makes good meaningful connections between where you live and the country studied.
