Student struggles to craddle ball in throwing hand. Shoulders rotate, but throwing arm does not come over the top. Follow through is inconsistent, sometimes happens towards net.

Student craddles the ball in throwing hand and demonstrates control of ball. Shoulders rotate as throwing arm comes over the top to release the ball. Follow through happens towards net or partner.

Student does not make any attempt to demonstrate skill.

Student is not able to make adjudgements to the throw. Does not catch with splay fingers. Elbow is not bend. Difficulty in transitioning to a throwing position.
Fair
Student struggles to to make adjudgements in catching the ball. Inconsistent in catching the ball with splay fingers. Elbow is slightly bend and is sometimes ready to throw the ball.
Good
Student makes adjudgemets to the throw. Receives the ball with splay fingers. Elbow is bend and hand is underneath the ball ready to throw.
