Vocabulary and Grammar	Excelente Excellent usage of vocabulary words and grammar. No spelling or grammar flaws.	Bien Hecho Fairly accurate usage of vocabulary and grammar. Has 1-2 mistakes in either grammar or spelling).	Necesita Mas Practica Inaccurate usage of vocabulary words and grammar. Has 3-4 grammar or spelling errors.	Que paso? Minimal efforts to meet requirements. Has more than 4 grammar or spelling errors.
Entries	Excelente Excellent presentation of all 10 required entries. Student has name, (Spanish name) and period/seat # on right side of first page on journal. The front page of the journal has the heading Mi Diario".	Bien Hecho Student is missing 1-2 entries. Student may or may not have complete name and the heading on each page of journal.	Necesita Mas Practica Student is missing and has 3-4 entries. Student may or may not have complete name and the heading on each page of journal.	Que paso? Student is missing more than 4 entries. Has no entries. Student does not have complete name and heading on each of the journal.
Neatness and Organization	Excelente Entries are neat and in order by date. Journal is either typed or printed legibly. Journal is stapled correctly (did not staple during class).	Bien Hecho Entries are somewhat in order and somewhat neat. May be typed and/or written legible but may have a few erasures. Journal may or may not have been stapled during class.	Necesita Mas Practica Entries are poorly in order and not neat. Ex: lots or erasures and difficult to read text. Journal may or may not have been stapled during class. May have missing/torn pages.
