Perserverance 3 pts Are you overcoming your frustration and persevering to find a solution of the problem?	Poor I can't understand the problem. I read it several times and doesn't make sense. No one seems to know what they are doing.	Fair I tried some formulas and strategies I already know to try to solve the problem. I talked to my partner about the problem. But we don't know how to explain the solution.	Good I worked with my partner and we did not give up. We asked our teacher when we felt "stuck" and used the book, notes and strategies we already know to come up with an explanation to our solution.
Explain and Discuss the Problem 3 pts Are you able to talk about the problem with your peers and teacher?	Poor I do not know if I have the correct answer. I do not want to talk about the problem because I don't know the solution.	Fair I can talk about how difficult is the problem. I can show you how I solved my problem but, I do not know how to explain how I came up with my solution.	Good I can explain and demonstrate to my teacher and peers what I did to come up with my solution. I can agree or disagree with my classmates and provide evidence of my reasoning.
Materials 3 pts What materials did you used?	Poor I only used my pencil and paper. I used some formulas, but did not raw any diagram or chart.	Fair I used my notebook, dice, and tokens. I tried to re-create the problem with my tools.	Good I draw a diagram on my notebook, used manipulative and asked my teacher questions to come up with my solution.
