Storykit project Students will create a story with a musical theme. They will add pictures to their story that compliment the text and record themselves reading each page. They will also add some musical aspect---singing or instrument playing into at least one page. Musical theme	below basic There is no mention of musical in any way.	basic There are some pages with the musical theme but not all.	proficient The story follows a musical theme. It happens throughout the whole story.	exceeds The story uses specific musical language/vocabulary.
Artwork	below basic The artwork or photo choices do not help the text. Watermarked Photos have been used.	basic The artwork or photo choices on some of the pages help describe the text but not all.	proficient Students photo choice or painted artwork enhances the text on the pages and follows the musical theme.	exceeds The student artwork or photos fit exceptionally well with the text on every page and at a high creative level.
text recordings	below basic The recordings are not the same as the text or can not be understood at all.	basic The readings are always clearly understood or not totally accurate to the text.	proficient Student readings are clear and easily understood and is accurately restated from the text.	exceeds The students have accurate recorded transcription and they has used expression in their reading of the text to help tell the story.
