Poetry Comic Strip 
Learners will select a poem to interpret via a comic strip with illustrations and the poem quoted in each frame. Learners will include Six frames of illustration and must choose a poem of 100 words or more from the textbook. Include the title of the poem, the author's name, and the page number. Mount the comic on poster board. Color and illustrate each set of verse selected for the comic strip and type/write the verse for each frame. At the top of the comic strip, write the title of the poem, the author, the page in Elements of Literature (our textbook) or other source aquired. If not in our textbook, include a copy of the poem on the back of the poster board.

The poem selected was not appropriate for the project and/or was not approved of by the instructor of the course.

The poem the learner selected for the project was less than 100 words in lenght and the title, author, and page number was not included in the heading of the project.
FAIR

The poem selected for the project was fair but did not have depth of meaning poetically therefore the imagery described in the comic strip was simple and/or below grade level comprehension for reading.
GOOD

The poem selected was 100 words in lenght and is one that contains imagery and figurative language.
EXECPTIONAL

The poem selected for the project is in excess of 100 words and contains a wealth of imagery and figurative language therefore the learner demonstrates a high level of reading comprehension and evalutation for the poetic form of writng.
