Floating Perspective Design Creative Perspective Drawing Use the perspective techniques (color, converging lines, detail, overlapping, size) to create a colored drawing. Color / Value	Unacceptable No difference in value on objects.	Novice Little difference in color in value exists in the artwork. One value on sides of objects.	Fair Difference in color value for most of the objects. Bold for close (front of) objects and lighter toward vanishing point. .	Good Colors are bolder for close (front of) objects and lighter as they recede toward vanishing point.	Excellent Colors are: bold, vibrant, and dark on front of objects. Colors "fade" smoothly as they recede toward vanishing point.
Converging Lines	Unacceptable No converging lines in picture.	Novice Lines converge across the horizontal plane.	Fair One set of lines get somewhat closer together on the vertical plane.	Good One set of lines get closer together on the vertical plane to show an object getting further away from the viewer.	Excellent Two or more sets of converging lines effectively and logically show objects getting further away from the viewer.
Overlapping	Unacceptable No objects overlap in picture.	Novice Has only one set of overlapping objects to show closer and further away objects.	Fair Has at least 2 sets of overlapping objects to show closer and further away objects.	Good Has at least 4 sets of overlapping objects to show closer and further away objects.	Excellent Has 8 or more sets of overlapping objects to show closer and further away objects.
Size	Unacceptable All objects are the same size in the picture.	Novice Very little difference in size exists in objects to show perspective.	Fair 2 to 4 objects are included of different sizes to show closer and further away objects.	Good At least 5 objects are included of different sizes to show closer and further away objects.	Excellent 10 or more different objects of a variety of sizes are included to show what objects are closer and further away.
Media Technique	Unacceptable	Novice Drawing is messy, visible erasures distract from effect. Several smudges. Limited grasp of skill.	Fair Some lines, planes are messy. A few smudges.
