Organization	4 - The introduction is engaging and clearly states the writer's argument. - The conclusion strongly states a personal opinion and ties in discussed arguments throughout; may present a clever ending. - Writing is clear and coherent and ideas are well organized throughout.	3 - The introduction includes an opinion and an attempt at persuading the reader. The conclusion states a personal opinion and summarises persuasive reasons stated throughout. - Information is presented in a logical order, but does not always maintain the interest of the reader.	2 - The introduction is very brief or missing. - Ideas and argument are disjointed and not clear. - The conclusion is weak and simply restates a reason already stated initially.	1 The structure is difficult to identify.
Persuasive Techniques	4 - Three or more excellent reasons are stated with good support. All reasons are explained and have a good argument.	3 - Two to three reasons are stated, but the arguments are weak or lacking explanation in some places.	2 Two or less reasons are stated and the arguments or explanations are weak or missing.	1 The writing only has one reason that is presented and not supported.

Vocabulary	4 - Vocabulary and choice of words is creative and enhances the argument. - Strong, persuasive words and devices are included to support and explain each argument.	3 - Vocabulary and word choices have been carefully chosen to persuade and enhance writing. - Persuasive words assist in delivering strong argument.	2 - Vocabulary and word choice is limited. - The same words are repeated throughout and very few words are persuasive.	1 -A lot of words and phrases are repeated, and the wording takes away from the message of the writing.
