This is a basic writing rubric for RAP students to use to help them plan, check and revise their work before turning it in as well as to evaluate their work after.

The details support the topic.
Very Good

The student included three or more details from the readings, discussion, or other media. The details highly support the Topic with added details and are in order or sequence.
Excellent

The student included three or more details from the readings, discussion, or other media. The details highly support the topic with added details and quote(s)
All details are in sequence order and accurate.
Conclusion
5 pts

The student creates a conclusion for the writing.

Poor

The student writes a poor conclusion that does not follow the topic.
Fair

The student writes a conclusion that does restate the topic exactly.

The student writes a conclusion that restates the topic in a different way.
Very Good

The student writes a conclusion that restates the topic and expands on the idea.
