Shoulders are not square to basket.Feet are too close.Legs are not bent.Hips are not lowered.Using two hands to hold ball.Ball is cupped in the palms of the hand.

Shoulders are slightly offset to basket. One foot in front of the other.Knees slightly bent.Hips are fairly low.Slight balance of ball on shooting hand. Ball is slightly raised off of the palm of the hand using fingers.
Good

Shoulders are square to basket. Feet shoulder width apart. Knees are bent. Hips are low. Ball is balanced with assistance of non-shooting hand. Ball is balanced using the palm and finger pads leaving a space between the ball and the center of your palm.
Eyes

Eyes are not on target.

Eyes are looking at the basket.

Eyes are on the basket aiming for the rim or block.
Elbow

Elbow is noticeably out to the side. Elbow is tucked into students side.

Elbow is slightly out to the side of the alignment underneath the ball. Elbow is not quite parallel to the floor.

Elbow is directly under wrist and ball facing the basket. Elbow is parallel to the floor.
Follow Through

Arm is bent with. Uses all of arm to shoot. Fingers point off to the side.

Arm is partially extended. Arms and legs partially lift and extend when shooting. Fingers point up towards ceiling.
Good

Arm is fully extended. Arms and legs lift and extend to use maximum power. Fingers follow through towards target.
