	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Understanding of content	Poor Shows little to no connection of ideas to personal opinion	Fair Has some elements of an opinion, but does not express his/her ideas clearly.	Good Expresses personal opinion and ideas clearly	Excellent Strong personal opinion and voice; very well expressed.
Communication	Poor Ideas are disorganized; not well expressed and there are several errors.	Fair Ideas are only loosely connected and there are many errors.	Good Communicates ideas well and with only a few errors.	Excellent Communicates ideas very clearly and effectively with little to no errors.
Visual presentation	Poor Student uses incorrect graphics or no graphics for the topic.	Fair Student uses some graphics that don't really support the text and presentation	Good Student's graphics are equivalent to the text and presentation.	Excellent Student's graphics are colourful and visually appealing. They match the text and the presentation.
Elocution	Poor Student murmurs, does not pronounce words correctly and speaks in a tone too low for most students to hear.	Fair Student's voice is low. He/she speaks in monotone and incorrectly pronounces some terms. Some students have difficulty hearing the presentation.	Good Student's voice is clear. He or she pronounces most words correctly, and most audience members can hear the presentation.	Excellent Student uses a clear voice and correct pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear the presentation well.
