Choreography Project - Individual Choreography Project 
Students will work in groups to develop a well choreographed dance. Students will choose their style of dance. The choreography must portray the style accurately and use at least 10 or more choreographic elements. Dance length minimum is 2 minutes. All dances should have a clear beginning and ending and show use of choreographic tools learned throughout the semester.

Use of Choreographic Elements

Did not create a piece that reflected the choreographic elements and lacked understanding of the project.

Dancers perform with minimal distractions. They look fairly confident and prepared for most of the performance. The dancers performed with accuracy and purpose. The dancers were well prepared and knew the routine.
Excellent

Dancers perform with full confidence. They perform with enthusiasm, and are invested in their audience as well as the other dancers onstage. The dancers performed with perfect accuracy and purpose. They were extremely well-prepared and knew the routine.
Technique

Dance Vocabulary

Poor

Dancers do not use technique skills/vocabulary properly for this style of dance.
Fair

Dancers show some technical skill/vocabulary for this style of dance.
Good

Dancers have a good understanding of technical skill/vocabulary for this style of dance.
Excellent

Technical skill/vocabulary is strong in this style and present in all movements.
Creativity and interpretation
