Poetry Writing Rubric

Words	1 I used ordinary words that are not very interesting. My meaning is confusing to the reader.	2 I used some some interesting words. My words tell what I mean.	3 I used just the right words that make clear pictures in the reader's head.
Rhythm	1 My words do not have rhythm. They sound like ordinary reading.	2 My words have some rhythm and sound like poetry.	3 The rythym helps tell the meaning and makes the poetry fun to read.
Printing/Neatness	1 Some of my letters are backwards or scribbly. My writing is sloppy and hard to read.	2 My letters are mostly formed correctly and there are spaces between words.	3 My writing is neat, well spaced and easy to read.
Language	1 I didn't use any punctuation.	2 I used some punctuation.	3 I punctuated all my sentences.
