Content	Approaches Standards Student does not know specified content. Student struggles to remember vocabulary and grammar structures.	Meets Standards Student has a grasp of specified content. Student remembers most/all of the vocabulary and grammar structures.	Exceeds Standards Student demonstrates mastery of specified content. Errors in vocabulary and grammar structures are insignificant.
Prononciation	Approaches Standards Student has significant errors in pronunciation that make comprehension difficult, even for a sympathetic speaker.	Meets Standards Student has a good grasp of pronunciation. Errors do not inhibit understanding by a sympathetic speaker.	Exceeds Standards Student has an excellent grasp of pronunciation, demonstrating near-native like mastery of pronunciation and intonation.
Performance	Approaches Standards Student speaks with little or no confidence. Student demonstrates through words and actions a lack of full understanding of material being presented.
