Using Voki Student will use Voki.com to create avatars to introduce themselves to our 5th grade buddy classroom.

PEER COMMUNICATION Communicating their ideas verbally to their peers	Poor Student didn't communicate with their peer. The peer really had to work to get the information out.	Competent Student communicated his/her ideas well. Had a conversation with their peer. Was able to get their point across.
COMMUNICATING TO AN AUDIENCE Expressing themselves to a younger audience	Poor Student wasn't on topic. Student didn't express themselves to a younger audience. Student didn't use appropriate language for communication.	Competent Student was able to express themselves clearly to a younger audience. Use appropriate language and stayed on topic.
CREATING AN AVATAR Create a talking avatar using Voki.com	Poor Student didn't complete the avatar.	Competent Student complete the avatar.
EMBEDDING AVATAR Embedding avatars into our class Wikispaces page	Poor Student wasn't able to embed the avatar into the wiki page.	Competent Student successfully embedded the avatar for viewing on the wiki page.
