The students will be evaluated on their comprehension of a science fiction book of their choice, and their ability to compare/contrast how Science Fiction books have changed over the last 50 years, and their findings on this topic based on research.

Amateur Presenter

The student can be heard in the back of the room throughout most of the presentation, or the student often speaks softly throughout the presentation. The student speaks clearly and distinctly some of the time, mispronouncing a few words.

The student cannnot be heard in the back of the room during the presentation. The student also muffles their speaking or mumbles, and mispronounces several words.
Prepared/ability to interest others

Pro Presenter

The student is prepared to give their presentation, and it is obvious the the student rehearsed. Also, the student grabs the audience with their information that is presented, which is obvious in the attention and participation of the class.
Amateur Presenter

The student is somewhat prepared to give their presentation, and it appears the student could have used more time to rehearse. The presented gets the attention of the audience, but as the presentation goes on he/she loses their attention, and they are not as engaged in discussion afterward.

The student is not prepared to give their presentation, and it is obvious that the student did not rehearse. The presenter's information does not keep the audience's attention or engage the audience in discussion at the end.
