Jump Rope Routine 3-5 Jump Rope Routine Students will be completing a jump rope routine in groups. Routines will be graded based on length of routine, synchronization, cooperation/teamwork in creating the routine, creativity, inclusion of at least 4 different jumps each and overall performance. Jump Rope Routine
	Emerging 1 pts	Approaching 2 pts	Meets 3 pts	Exceeds 4 pts
Music Length	Emerging Length of song(s) under 30 seconds.	Approaching Length of song(s) between 30 seconds and 45 seconds.	Meets Length of song 1 min.	Exceeds Length of song(s) 1 minute or more.
Synchronization	Emerging Music is an afterthought - there is no attempt to keep to the beat of the music. Performers do not attempt to stay in sync with one another.	Approaching Performers try to keep in time with the music but go in and out of the beat. Performers try to keep in sync and are successful at times.	Meets Performers do a good job of keeping in time with music with few mistakes. Performers stay in sync unless a mistake is made and have some success getting back together.	Exceeds Excellent synchronization. Very little mistakes, if any.
Cooperation/Teamwork During practice and the routine.	Emerging Little cooperation, performers do not work together/argue.	Approaching Some cooperation - may have one person doing all of the work.	Meets Performers appear to work together in the routine and all have had a part in the creative process.	Exceeds All performers worked together and created a routine which reflected their cooperation and hard work.
Jump Rope Skills Include at least 4 different jumps	Emerging Does not include any more complex skills than the basic jump.	Approaching Skills include at least one skill more complex than the basic jump.	Meets Minimum requirements are accomplished in the routine.	Exceeds Performance includes many skills beyond basic jump.
Overall Performance creative, well-planned, practiced; entertaining	Emerging Poor	Approaching Fair	Meets Good	Exceeds Excellent
