K-5 Dribbling a Basketball
	Needs Work 1 pts	Developing 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Proficent 4 pts
Use of fingertips	Needs Work Slaps the ball in an erratic fashion.	Developing Uses a combination of fingertips and the palm of the hand. Usually uses fingertips, but occasionally uses the palm of hand	Good Usually uses fingertips, but occasionally uses the palm of hand	Proficent Uses the fingertips exclusively.
Knees bent	Needs Work Stands upright	Developing Knees are slightly bent, but occassionally standing up.	Good Knees are often bent	Proficent The students knees are bent all of the time while dribbling.
Ball kept below the waist	Needs Work Ball is dribbled up high and not in control. Frequently loses the ball.	Developing Ball is sometimes dribbled below the waist with occasional dribbling above the waist. Student has some control of ball most of the time.	Good Ball is most often dribbled below the waist Student has good control of the ball	Proficent Ball is dribbled below the waist in a controlled fashion.
Keep head up while dribbling	Needs Work Student is looking at the ball or the student is not paying attention to dribbling.	Developing Students head is down looking at the ball most of the time	Good The student's head is up, most of the time.	Proficent Student's head is up all the time and the student has complete control of the ball.
