Historical Concepts	Poor Your time periods and facts are incorrect.	Fair A time period or historical event is mentioned in your paper, but not connected to any other events or facts . It is not evident that you understand the historical time period you talk about.	Good The writing is a topic from history. Facts are accurate to your time period. Your writing demonstrates that you have knowledge of history.
Writing Clarity	Poor The main idea of the writing piece is unclear. The writing is difficult to understand.	Fair Your writing has one main topic, but contains some information off topic. The writing is easy to read, but could use some revision.	Good Your writing stays on topic and makes sense. It has a definite beginning, middle and end.
Illustrations	Poor Illustrations are not representative of the historical time period' Limited amount of illustrations.	Fair Some illustrations are representative of historical time period, but there is some inaccuracy.	Good Illustrations are representative of the historical event and time period.
Standard Requirements	Poor Student did not include standard requirements for projects. Was not assembled.	Fair Student included some of the general requirements for the project. Was partially assembled.	Good Student included all general requirements for project. Project neatly assembled.
