Assignment reveals formatting errors and a lack of organization. Student presents an incomplete attempt to provide linkages or explanation of key terms.

Uses professional language that skillfully communicates meaning to readers with clarity and fluency, and is virtually error-free. Correctly uses APA style for citations and formatting. Demonstrates detailed attention to, and
successful execution of, a wide range of writing conventions including organization, content, presentation, formatting, and stylistic
choices.

Uses straightforward language that generally conveys meaning to readers. Somewhat correctly uses APA style for citations and formatting. Has few errors in organization, content, presentation, and/or stylistic choices.

Uses language that sometimes impedes meaning because of errors in usage. Fails to use APA style correctly. Attempts to use a consistent system for
basic organization and presentation.

Presents an essay that is far too general. Demonstrates a limited level of knowledge of facts, theories, concepts, or principles, however, misinterpretations are present. Presents information from irrelevant sources representing limited points of view/approaches.
