Fashion Show Rubric 
In a group, you will create a fashion show all in French and you will each take turns being the commentators and the models. Your sentences must correspond with the clothing props you use. Please refer to the rubric below to be sure that you include all of the required elements.

Sentences

Each member of the group will speak in French to describe what the model is wearing.

Vocabulary

Speaker will use vocabulary from the unit to describe what the model is wearing. Use of adjectives to describe the clothing and other details (seasons) makes for interesting dialogue.

Includes 6-7 new vocabulary words in a creative and interesting fashion.
Level 3

Includes 8-9 new vocabulary words in a creative and interesting fashion.
Level 4

Grammar/Pronunciation

Written work must be edited before presentation is given. Written copy handed in.

10 or more grammar/pronunciation errors (adjective agreement, , verb conjugations, subjects).
Level 2

7-9 grammar/pronunciation errors (adjective agreement, verb conjugations, subjects).
Level 3

4-6 grammar/pronunciation errors (adjective agreement, verb conjugations, subjects).

Clothing Articles

The group has all clothing and props for the presentation. Clothing and props correspond with the commentary.

4-5 clothing articles used that correspond with commentary.

6-7 clothing articles used that correspond with commentary.
Level 4

8 or more clothing articles used that correspond with commentary.
Modeling Performance

Group should be well rehearsed to present a smooth, creative, and fun show.

Level 1

Little movement or brisk walking. Uses little/no modeling techniques (pauses, turns, etc.). Little/no creativity.
Level 2

Slow walk; includes appropriate modeling techniques (pauses, turns, etc.). Very creative and fun. Did not point out several articles of clothing.
Level 3

Enthusiastic; includes appropriate modeling techniques (pauses, turns, etc.). Creative and fun. Did not know & show off all clothing.
Level 4

Very enthusiastic; evidently practiced modeling techniques (pauses, turns, etc.). Very creative and fun. Model shows off all clothes as they are described.
Commentary

Speaker speaks clearly and loudly, and has rehearsed sentences to make sure pronunciation is correct.

Level 1

Reads off paper and appears unsure of content; reading is choppy; little/no emotion; needs more practice. Many errors noted.
Level 2

Enthusiastic reader but is not sure of words or pronunciation.
Speaker is not clear or easily understood. Some errors noted.
Level 3

Mostly learned lines, good accent, most words are understandable and pronunciation is good. Few errors noted.
Level 4

Enthusiastic; fluent speech; well practiced; amazed us with a great French accent and was easily heard and understood. No errors noted.
