In progress My writing shows that I have some understanding of the topic but I used opinions.	Meets My writing shows that I have understanding of the topic but some facts are incorrect.	Exceeds I have written clearly on the topic because my writing includes facts and details about the topic. It shows that I fully understand the topic.
Organization	Does not meet My writing doesn't show any organization.	In progress My writing shows that I tried to organize but is missing one of the elements - topic sentence or closing sentence.	Meets My writing is organized but has little supporting information.	Exceeds I have a clear topic sentence, body with many supporting details, and a closing sentence. My writing is interesting.
Language	Does not meet The writing is not in my own words. It has been copied from other sources.	In progress The writing is partly in my own words, but parts of it have been copied from other sources.	Meets The writing is in my own words, but my sentence structure is simple and not interesting.	Exceeds The writing is in my own words, and I have used complex and interesting sentences.
