Dance Routine Dance Routine Students are to create a dance routine that is at least 1minute long. The routine needs to have a noticeable beginning, middle, and end. Steady Beat	Excellent Movements are always in time with the beat of the music.	Very Good Movements are in time with the beat of the music.	Satisfactory Movements are sometimes in time with the beat of the music.	Needs Improvement Movements are seldom in time with the beat of the music.
Concentration and Focus	Excellent Student maintains concentration and focus throughout the performance. Members are not distracted by each other or the audience.	Very Good Student maintains concentration and focus during the performance..	Satisfactory Student has difficulty maintains concentration and focus during the performance.	Needs Improvement Student seldom maintains concentration and focus during the performance.
Meets Dance Requirements	Excellent Contains 8 different moves.	Very Good Contains 6 different moves.	Satisfactory Contains 4 different moves.	Needs Improvement Contains fewer than 2 different moves.
Participation During Class Time	Excellent Student made effective use of class time by being on task all of the time.	Very Good Student made effective use of the class most of the time.	Satisfactory Student somewhat made effective use of class time but was sometimes off task.	Needs Improvement Student did not make effective use of class time and was typically off task.
Costumes	Excellent Student wore appropriate costume/clothing.	Very Good Student has chosen a costume/clothing that add some interest to the song and dance.	Satisfactory The costume/clothing make sense. Ex. the song is really upbeat and the student looks dark and dreary.	Needs Improvement The student is not wearing a costume or appropriate clothing.
