The Elements of Dance Choreography The Elements of Dance Choreography in small cooperative learning groups dancers are to create choreography which includes the elements of dance. 2 shapes, change level, direction and use 2 different pathways, include slow motion and rhythmic movements. Content	AWESOME!!! meets all criteria, choreography exhibits evidence of thoughtful, creative thinking and expression.	OOOOHH AWW!! Most of the dance criteria were met.	BAH!!! WHAT HAPPENED! Lacks some of the dance criteria.	YIKES!!!!! Most or none of the dance criteria was not met.
Use of Elements	AWESOME!!! Strong and consistent evidence that dancers not only understand the elements of dance, but are using them in creative and varied ways	OOOOHH AWW!! All elements are present. Evidence is present that dancers understand what they are	BAH!!! WHAT HAPPENED! Some of the elements are present. Lacking in evidence that dancers understand what they are.	YIKES!!!!! Minimal use of elements are present. No evidence that dancers understand what they are.
Performance Quality	AWESOME!!! All of the time: student's performance indicates great confidence and energy and enthusiasm. Movements are executed with clarity and continuity.	OOOOHH AWW!! Most of the time: student's performance indicates great confidence, energy and enthusiasm. Movements are executed with clarity and continuity.	BAH!!! WHAT HAPPENED! Some of the time: The students showed confidence,energy, and enthusiasm;some distraction evident. Movements lose clarity and continuity at times.	YIKES!!!!! None of the time: students showed confidence, energy or enthusiasm. Dancers looked distracted at all times.
