Mechanics	Below Basic Punctuation is not used correctly. There are misspelled words. Grammar is incorrect.	Basic There are punctuation mistakes. There are several misspelled words. Some grammar is incorrect.	Proficient Punctuation is used correctly. There are few misspelled words. Grammar is correct.	Advanced Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are all used correctly.
Organization	Below Basic There is no organization. The contents cannot be interpretted.	Basic The menu is slightly organized. The contents requires effort in order to interpret the information.	Proficient The menu is organized. Information is presented with little effort required to interpret information.	Advanced The menu is organized and all information is presented in a clear and precise manner.
Content	Below Basic The menu does not consist of healthy foods or balanced meals.	Basic The menu consists of a few healthy foods, but the majority of the foods are not healthy and meals are not balanced.	Proficient The menu is composed of healthy foods, but the meals are not balanced.	Advanced The menu is composed of properly balanced meals and healthy foods.
Appearance	Below Basic The menu completely lacks pictures and/or illustrations and is not decorative.	Basic The menu has 2 to 3 pictures and/or illustrations and is slightly decorative.	Proficient The menu has a four to five pictures and/or illustrations and is decorative.	Advanced The menu has six or more pictures and/or illustrations and has a decorative, attractive appearance.
