Comprehension	Poor Student was unable to explain their understanding of the project concepts, knowledge or application in the real world.	Needs Improvement Student did not provided a clear explaination of the project concepts, knowledge or application in the real world.	Proficient Student provided a clear and concise explaination of the project concepts, knowledge or application in the real world.	Exemplary Student provided a full explaination with details and important points of the project concepts, knowledge or application in the real world.
Format	Poor Student was unable to correctly construct the map or did not construct the map modeled.	Needs Improvement Student constructed the map modeled but was incomplete.	Proficient Student provided a clear and concise map containing all parts.	Exemplary Student constructed a clear, concise map with details such as color and correct proportions.
Instructions	Poor Students did not follow any instructions or models provided during teaching and practice.	Needs Improvement Student followed instructions incompletely so the model or knowledge was incorrect in more than one aspect.	Proficient Student adequately followed most of the instructions so that the map was understandable and clear.	Exemplary Student successfully followed all instructions so that the map was complete with visible details and color.
