Ok Your topic may be relevant to you or someone you care about, but it is not clear from your delivery that your topic matters to you.	Needs Improvement Your topic is not relevant to you or someone you care about. As a result, it does not that come through that your topic matters to you.
Purpose	Excellent You have a clear purpose (to inform, persuade, convince, etc.). Your choices support your purpose.	Ok Your purpose is vague, or the speech does not remain focused on one purpose.	Needs Improvement You do not have a clear purpose (to inform, persuade, convince, etc.).
Audience	Excellent Your topic, tone, and word choices accurately reflect the occasion (addressing the UN) and would be effective.	Ok Your topic, tone, and word choices occasionally reflect the occasion (addressing the UN) but are inconsistent.	Needs Improvement Your topic, tone, and word choices don't match the occasion (addressing the UN).
Choices	Excellent You made specific choices (such as repetition, directly addressing the crowd, pausing, word choice, appeals, etc.) that support your purpose and work to convince your audience.
