Lettering	Fair Little or no effort was put into the lettering. Artist failed to utilize any of the lettering styles we learned about. The overall lettering design is not interesting or engaging.	Good Artist put a fair amout of effort into the lettering. Artist utilized at least one of the lettering styles we learned about. The overall lettering design is interesting, but could have been made more successful if more detail was added.	Excellent! Artist put a great deal of effort into their lettering, experimenting with many different types of lettering we learned about. The overall lettering design is interesting and visually pleasing.
Craftsmanship	Fair Artwork is rushed or not carefully completed. Color was not added neatly or carefully.	Good Neat letters in most areas. Color was added neatly and carefully in most areas.	Excellent! Lots of attention to detail. Carefully executed letters. Color was added neatly and carefully in all areas.
Use of space	Fair Name design did not fill up space; letters small, leaving significant space.	Good Name design filled up most of the space. Some space between edges and name could have more detail.	Excellent! Name design maximizes space. Student demonstrated understanding of importance for finished project.
Creativity/Detail	Fair Little or no effort toward creativity or detail.	Good Some detail was added to design. Some evidence of original or creative use of color. Identity is mostly seen in finished design.	Excellent! Lots of detail is evident. Color and shape was used in an original and creative way. Identity of artist definitly shows in finished tag!
