	Excellent 10 pts	Good 8 pts	Fair/Needs Improvement 7 pts	Poor 6 pts
Memorization 10 pts	Excellent Student is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed. Student brings all needed materials and speaks on assigned date.	Good Student seems pretty prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals. Student has most materials needed and speaks on assigned date.	Fair/Needs Improvement Student is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking. Student speaks on assigned date.	Poor Student does not seem at all prepared to present.
Posture and Eye Contact 10 pts	Excellent Student stands up straight, and looks relaxed and confident. Student establishes eye contact with everyone in the room during the presentation.	Good Student stands up straight and establishes eye contact with everyone in the room during the presentation.	Fair/Needs Improvement Student sometimes stands up straight and establishes eye contact.	Poor Student slouches and/or does not make eye contact with the audience during the presentation.
Time Limit 10 pts	Excellent Presentation is 4 to 5 minutes long.	Good Presentation is 3 to 4 minutes long.	Fair/Needs Improvement Presentation is 2 to 3 minutes long.	Poor Presentation is less than 2 minutes OR more than 5 minutes long.
Voice 10 pts	Excellent Facial expressions, body language, and vocal variety generate a strong interest in the topic in others.	Good Facial expressions, body language, and vocal variety generate some interest in the topic in others.	Fair/Needs Improvement Facial expressions, body language, and vocal variety are lacking to interest others.	Poor Very little use of facial expressions, body language, or vocal variety. Enthusiasm is lacking.
Visuals 10 pts	Excellent Excellent use of at least 6 visuals that enhance the topic. They are clear, attention-getting, intentional.	Good Use of 5-6 visuals that relate to the topic but don't really enhance the speech.	Fair/Needs Improvement Use of fewer than 5 visuals and they don't always seem directly related to the speech.	Poor Does not have visuals or the visuals are confusing or distract from the speech.
